NULITE Mini Hot Water Heat Pump is a compact range of air-source heat pumps designed to heat water in an external storage tank. Unlike an all-in-one water heater, the refrigeration circuit is housed in a separate outdoor unit, allowing the tank volume and construction to be selected for the specific project.
Four sizes for different hot-water loads
The range includes NL-B1.0S-P, NL-B1.5S-P, NL-B2.0S-P, and NL-B3.0S-P with rated heating outputs of 3.5 / 5.1 / 7.2 / 10.3 kW. Rated input is 0.86 / 1.24 / 1.79 / 2.55 kW. The manufacturer's table lists rated hot-water quantities of 76 / 109 / 145 / 225 L.
Rated outlet-water temperature is 55 °C and maximum outlet temperature is 60 °C. All models use a single-phase 220–240 V, 50 Hz supply and are specified for ambient temperatures from −10 to +43 °C. R410A refrigerant remains inside the factory-built refrigeration circuit.
Components and controls
The series table specifies one rotary Mitsubishi compressor and microprocessor control. The brochure also shows a hydrophilic-aluminum evaporator with internally grooved copper tubing, a shell-and-tube water heat exchanger, a four-way valve for defrosting, high/low-pressure switches, the controller, and an ABS fan impeller.

Applications
- Detached houses, cottages, villas, and townhouses.
- Guesthouses, small hotels, and hostels.
- Showers at sports facilities, workshops, and small businesses.
- Cafés, restaurants, and kitchens with regular hot-water demand.
- Beauty salons, small spa areas, and compact healthcare facilities.
- Upgrading an existing DHW system that has a suitable storage tank.
Connection to an external storage tank
The heat pump connects to the external water tank through 3/4" flow and return pipes. A built-in circulation pump is optional, so the exact hydraulic package must be confirmed at order stage. A typical installation includes a circulation pump, filter, check valve, isolation and safety valves, tank-temperature sensor, and drainage.

Selection and operation
Unit size should be selected from daily and hourly hot-water demand, the required recovery time, design ambient temperature, and storage-tank volume. Outdoor-unit dimensions range from 772×323×496 to 1010×401×622 mm and weight ranges from 56 to 100 kg. The stated sound level is no more than 51–58 dB(A), depending on model, so placement should consider windows, adjacent rooms, and property boundaries.
The installation must provide unobstructed airflow, condensate drainage, freeze protection for the water circuit, and safe service access. Actual output decreases as outdoor temperature falls; this must be included in tank sizing and recovery-time calculations.
Specifications are based on the supplied manufacturer brochure. The “rated output water quantity” values are reproduced in the units shown in the manufacturer's table. Final selection requires a domestic-hot-water demand calculation and operating-condition review.
